Administration

Administration is a Genix application which empowers IT administrators of the organization to perform the administrative tasks to automate the business process. Following are the features and enhancements in Administration as part of Genix Suite 25.2:

Streamlined Role Management

The use of roles to manage access is streamlined for enhanced security, standardize workflow, and reduce redundancy. The following are the updates to the roles:

  • A role can have only a single application mapped to it.

  • A list of standard roles are available for each application.

  • Role metadata like Role Name, Description, and its Permissions must adhere to common guidelines.

Access Request

The access request workflow streamlines the access to the Platform applications and enables an auditable access request lifecycle. The following user personas are involved:

Users: Can request access to the applications they need and provide additional details as required.

Administrators: Can review all the access requests in a centralized dashboard and take following actions:

  • Invite user

  • Deny access

  • Request for more information

  • View the status of all the access requests

OpenBao for Edge Key Management

HashiCorp Vault is replaced with OpenBao for secret key management in Edge. OpenBao is open source and helps support product sustainability.

Terminate Queries using DDB API

Users can terminate running queries using DDB API. Allows the user to cancel a query that is running for too long or has encountered an issue.
